Bookings and Walk-Ins
We offer three main booking types – ‘Food and Drink’, ‘Games Session’ and ‘Workspace’, with additional special booking types on occasion. You’re welcome to eat and drink during games sessions and workspace bookings.
Bookings are offered on a first-come first-serve basis. We accept walk-ins where available, though making a booking is strongly recommended. Online bookings shut off within one hour of the booking time from Sunday – Thursday, and within two hours of the booking time on Fridays and Saturdays, so please give us a ring if you’re looking to book within that time frame.
Give us a ring as soon as possible if you’d like to make any changes to your booking. We cannot guarantee space for more than the original booking number, so please always give us a ring and we’ll do our best to fit you all in.
Games Sessions
Games sessions may be booked for up to 3 hours, subject to availability. Sessions are charged at £7 per person, or £3.50 for under-13s (see below for membership rate and concessions). You’re welcome to book multiple back-to-back sessions; each will be charged at our standard rate.
Payment of games sessions for up to 9 guests is taken in full on arrival, no refund will be issued for reduced numbers after this payment has been taken. For 10+ guests our large booking policy applies (see below).
We reserve the right to take payment for the total number of guests confirmed on the booking, regardless of any reduction in the number of attendees on the day.
We cannot guarantee a specific table, or size of table. If you’d like a specific table, let us know and we’ll accommodate this, where possible, at our discretion. If you would like a larger table, we may be able to offer this at a higher per person rate (subject to availability; contact us to enquire). You may be placed on a table with other guests if we only have larger tables available. We reserve the right to charge based on the seating capacity of the table, when smaller tables are unavailable.
You are welcome to bring your own games to your session. Please let us know if there’s anything we can provide to improve your experience.
“Bar” and “Games Room” areas
In each of our venues we have a main bar area and a games room. Our games service is the same in either room. Generally games session bookings will be placed in the games room first, with overflow games sessions placed in the bar when the games room is full. We cannot guarantee your booking will be placed in one room or the other. If you have a preference to sit in the bar side rather than the games room, please indicate this when prompted during the ‘Games Session’ booking process.
Late Arrivals and No Shows
You must arrive at or before the start time of your confirmed booking.
If you cannot come to your booking, please cancel through the booking confirmation email, or give us a ring. This is so we can let other people enjoy our services and avoid holding empty tables.
Contact us via telephone if you are running late, we may be able to adjust your booking start time but this is not guaranteed. We are unlikely to see emails during service.
We reserve the right to cancel bookings of groups arriving more than 15 minutes after the start time of their booking. Before cancelling, where possible we will try to contact you to communicate this, though we cannot guarantee this so please call if you’re running late.
Session start is from your booked time slot, late arrivals to a booking will not be guaranteed extra session time.
You can adjust your booking through your booking confirmation email.
Large Bookings (10+ people)
All bookings of 10 or more guests will be taken as enquiries and confirmed by a member of the team.
To guarantee that it all comes out at the same time, we recommend preordering food. Please leave a comment in the special requests section when booking if you’d like to be sent options for this. For very large bookings (roughly 25 guests or more) we may require preordering to offer food during your session.
Games Sessions
We require prepayment to secure all games session bookings of 10 or more guests. Bookings of this size will not be confirmed before receipt of this payment.
This prepayment will be equal to £7 times the total number of guests, regardless of any reduced rates.
Discounts for under-13s, membership, concessions (see below) must be claimed and validated on arrival, before the start of your session – it is your responsibility to request these discounts, we may not ask if any apply.
Proof of concessionary status is required. The total of these discounts will be refunded from the prepayment taken. We will not be able to issue any refund after you have started your session, so this must be requested up front on arrival.
Place your enquiry through the booking system, and we’ll follow up to arrange payment. Prepayments are refundable or adjustable until a set amount of days before the booking depending on party size:
- 10-19 guests: 3 days
- 20+ guests: 7 days
Advance payment may be done:
- Via a payment link we will send to you when we receive your enquiry
- In person, during our opening hours
- Via bank transfer (requires confirmation of proof of payment)
An ‘Enquiry Received’ email does not constitute a confirmed booking, and nor does making a prepayment until you receive booking confirmation. We’ll send across a ‘booking confirmation’ email when we receive your prepayment except for rare cases where we’re unable to confirm and will issue a refund.
Please let us know if you have any seating/table preferences at the time of booking and we will do our best to accommodate. We can’t guarantee that we will be able to seat you as requested, or that your entire party will be sat on one table. Large bookings will generally be allocated a number of tables in the same area of the venue, equal in covers to the total booking number.
Events
The following in this section applies only to official Badger Badger events, ie, those showing on the calendar of our events page. Badger Badger takes no responsibility for events which take place at Badger Badger, but which are not official Badger Badger events.
If you have purchased a ticket to an event, the ticket is only valid for that event unless stated otherwise. Cancellations and refunds are accepted up until 24 hours before the event. Refunds will not be made for no-shows.
Ticket refunds must be requested more than 24 hours in advance of the start time of the event to which they apply. Requests must be made by replying to your ticket confirmation email.
In some cases, tickets for regular events may be rescheduled for a future event of the same type. This may also only be done more than 24 hours in advance of the date the ticket applies to, and is subject to availability.
Specific tables are assigned for each of our events – the use by ticket holders of tables outside of those allocated for the event is not permitted. Please ask a member of the team if you’re unsure of which tables have been reserved for the event.
Event tickets grant access only to the materials, services and experiences offered by the event itself as outlined on the event’s details page. Neither our games service, nor any food or beverages (for example) are included as part of event attendance unless specifically stated.
Unless explicitly stated, all of our events are strictly for over-18s only. For events which permit under-18 entry, tickets must be purchased by an adult on the behalf of any under-18 attendees, and under-18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult who holds a ticket for the same event.
Membership and Concessions
Members receive discounts on their games session entry, most event tickets and items in our shop. Information about these discounts can be found on our membership page.
Membership is checked at the door, and a membership payment confirmation email from within the last 30 days may be required as proof to validate discounts.
Membership discounts apply only to the membership holder – all non-member attendees of a group for a games session are charged at our standard rate. Similarly, event ticket holders who have had their ticket bought for them by a member, but who themselves are not a member, will be required to pay the difference on the door.
Student and Blue Light discount
We offer a 30% discount to games session entry, as well as a 10% discount on food and drink, to students, Blue Light Card holders and NHS workers. Show a valid student ID, Blue Light Card or NHS staff ID card when paying or organising the refund for discounts to your large booking prepayment (see above) to redeem.
Under-18s Policy
Due to our licensing, under-18s must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult, and we cannot allow under-18s on the premises after 10pm on any night, so please plan your booking times accordingly.
Unless explicitly stated, all of our events are strictly for over-18s only. For events which permit under-18 entry, tickets must be purchased by an adult on the behalf of any under-18 attendees, and under-18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult who holds a ticket for the same event.
